We Watched The Deer. Poem by Anthony Foster

We Watched The Deer.

We watched the small deer cross the carpet of fresh snow,
The hoof prints were small delicate and neat,
I watched a snowflake melt on the cheek of my love,
Leaving a tear dropp for happy sadness,
As the moment passed only to be captured in my memory,
Forever.

What a beautiful snapshot of one single moment in time that makes one sigh.
