We Will Not Forget Them Poem by Sabrina Perry

We Will Not Forget Them

Rating: 5.0

I can still hear the whistle of the bombs falling to our feet. As we lost our mean one by one, somdays we wished upon defeat.
But knowing the dead soldiers fought for our lives, we will fight to the end and hope to survive.
Throught the pain and the suffering, the blood and the tears. We will continue to take down the enemy, no matter our fears.

I can still hear the trigger, before the bullets fly. As the bombs continued to rain from the smoking black sky.
The soldiers take cover, hoping to live for just one more day. Writing letters home saying everything will be okay.
But we don't always make it. And our casualties increase. Somedays we struggle for victory, and have to believe we won't be beat.

I can still hear the screams of our fellow soldiers last fight. Their heroic battle for our nation. The fight to stay alive.
When those soldiers are lost, it's like a blow to the chest. It leaves us feeling empty, without hope and depressed.
Regardless our sorrow and pain, we will pick up our guns and take down our rivals. We will be sure that our soldiers did not die in vain.

We will not forget them. They helped bring us to freedom. So shall they walk through heavens gates, and be amoungst God's greatest kingdom.
