Web Stir - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Web Stir - Lincoln Park Zoo

A golden silk spider I be,
Newly come to the Lincoln Park Zoo.
In African Journey find me,
A weaving a web just for you.
Now full disclosure, I am not
From Africa, but rather roam
In Florida where I got got,
And am happy to call here home.
African spiders once were here,
But all of them had passed away.
No such others chose to appear.
I got to come. I'm here to stay.

Oh what a tangled web I weave,
But I do not mean to deceive.
