Today is the day
Of your long anticipated return
I look forward to seeing you as I pray
Excited to hear what you have learned

The wings of silver dreams will carry you
With memories crammed into your baggage
The long hours of travel will sleepily subdue
Eagerness will stay on hold during passage

Mile by mile, second by second…rearranged
A image of you is securely tucked in a frame
Soon I will see how you have changed…
Hoping secretly that you remain the same
