Welcome To Sharda Poem by Sheikh Ahmed Tijan Bah

Welcome To Sharda

Now I guess ya'll already understand what I'm going to be saying to you, so I'm not going to recite to you a long poem that will end up boring you but I'll just pour out to you what I feel in me and probably you do too. This ain't no free style neither is it a wild style I'm just hoping to speak to you, for a just a little while.

Now I left home with hope and prayers from the pope and my hair combed to come to a different land to learn one, two, three and A, B, C, and may be add to that, the native Ek, Do, Tin and now that I am here, I've already established a home sweet home away from my mum's own home.

Now this is because of the warm words I get from those I refer to as my brothers from other mothers that keep my cool in the summer when the sun is 48. It's like a verbal party whenever we talk cuz only such juicy words are capable of coming from their mouths especially when it's cold in the winter below 16 and we go out to the canteen for chapatti eating.

Now when I wake up in the morning ready to take my usual Paratha and "Sowe" (milk) , I'm not afraid of no FM or no SOM. "Sir, you can give me a test it's my brother I saw, and that assignment you gave I did it with help from my sister while she taught me her language, "Timi kasta chaw? ", now that's Nepali and "ma thik chuu" is the answer."

Now from Bhutan to Tanzania, from China to Gambia, you might wanna add Latvia and of cause Nigeria. Tell me a continent and I'll name a country, name a culture, I'll name a friend, name a tradition, I might know a thing or two. We might be under construction but we're indeed beyond boundaries. Welcome to Sharda. This is INSFOS. My name is Sheikh Ahmed Tijan Bah and to you I'm the opposite of a foe.

PEACE <3
