Wetlands Poem by Talal Athar

Wetlands

Behold how wonderful they make our Earth look
Like the favourite page of my favourite book
The Blue waters drive us to speak the truth
The Green neighbors thrives us to struggle for Peace Pursuit

Home for abundant tiny little creatures
Gate-way to amazing Aquatic features
They at times may look flooded areas of land
But they have vegetation of trees and reeds in bands

The Dawn reflection on that lake
Rings the Marines; it's time to play
Green trees feel the layer of peace as they wake
A small Wetland; flourishes living reasons to be gay

The deepest depth of the Pacific Ocean
Or the Himalayas Glaciers in their slowest motion
All enthralled bt Wetland beauty
Adds innumerable numerality of Nature's duty

Why then does mischievous man,
Try to harm these Wetlands?
In the quest of making Sky-Scrapers there,
Little Swampy here calls him a traitor bare

Oh don't forget the Marine Swamps
They are our Earth's future coal farms
That Brownatic world of Swamp
You can find all the worms you want

Let's say 'NO' to those who say no to waterfalls
Join hands to stand against those who brawls
Lets make this world a Green Day
Join hands to commemorate Wetlands Day
