What A Waste Poem by Rebecca Paul

What A Waste

WHAT am i even here for? am i
A warning, since i cannot be an example? such a
WASTE of a pretty, blonde girl. my mother dreamt
OF one big, happy family. too bad i'm not
A part of it. i guess when
LIFE knocks you down, stay down.

somehow i managed to notice what you spelled out with the first words of lines; i would have missed it without the capitalization. cute and clever. i enjoyed your biography and this first poem of yours which i just read. i'm glad you felt comfortable continuing sentences into succeeding lines, and the punctuation was even correct! well, i did read that you get good grades i think. hopefully you don't think life is a waste, and hopefully you don't have the need to duck too often. but, yes, life can be (maybe always is, in the 'greater scheme of things') trivial. i wish you success and happiness. thanks for sharing. i sent this to my poemlist.
