What Are You Thankful For? - Poem by Erni Nurilyana

I am thankful for the clothes that fit a little too tight,
Because it means I have enough to eat.

I am thankful for the shadow that watches me work,
Because it means I am out in the sunshine.

I am thankful for the taxes that I have to pay,
Because it means I am employed.

I am thankful for the huge piles of laundry,
Because it means my loved ones are nearby.

I am thankful for the alarm clock that goes off every morning,
Because it means I am still alive.

What are you thankful for?
