Though it may cover everything so morbidly
Envelop surroundings with a sooty dread
Darkness cannot foil the Light completely
Piercing beams of it cut through instead.
However dismal are the ebony shades
However recondite and gloomy it may be
Darkness bows in exit and will slowly fade
When Light in slightest glow comes radiantly.
For what can Darkness ever do with Light?
Can its hideous cloak of craven woe defy
Each dazzling ray ablaze with the will to fight?
Light invades and it succeeds to nullify.
