What Do I Carry? Poem by Rachel Henley

What Do I Carry?

Can you judge a man with a briefcase?
with a fast mouth, dripping in sweat,
he seems busy, must be a busy, hard working man.
Any man can carry a briefcase,
what would your perception be,
to see,
a homeless gentleman with a briefcase?
Did he steal it?
probably.

It is funny how we judge people,
by what they carry in their hands,
but not whats in their hearts.

Homeless man walks by,
I have no interest in what his story is,
but I have all the time in the world,
for a fast talking man who happens to carry a briefcase.

What do I carry?

Very interesting Rachel, I see alot of homeless men daily. Often they were once more powerful than those men with the briefcases. Keep up the great work. Thank You
