What Do We See Poem by jessica short

What Do We See

Rating: 5.0

I look in the mirror
And what do I see
A mask of emotions
To hide from thee

I look at you
And what do I see
A lovely angel
that I want to be

you look at me
and what do you see
a locked door
closed without a key

I look at the world
And what do I see
Choas and pain
Like sailors lost at sea

you look at the world
and what do you see
happiness and love
that is just not around me

the world looks at you and me
and what do they see
two friends
who they should just let be

At least these two guys are seeing something. This poem is fresh, direct, very appreciable for its intellectual honesty.
