What Do You Seek Poem by Nathan Streango

What Do You Seek

Rating: 3.5

The wind blows then the trees sway and the leaves make sounds at the end of the day,
If you sit quietly you can hear the wind say: what do you seek?
If you look to sky at the stars far away see the sun pass by when the moons on the way
With open ears you hear the moon say: what do you seek?

Is it peace, is it love, is it a kiss from up above,
When you look to the sky can you see past time can you see Gods eyes,
When you look to the sky and you ask God why can you hear Him cry?

You get tears, then tears turn to scars when you look to the sky God can seem so far,
With open ears you hear from a star: what do you seek?
God is love, peace, strong for the weak, and If God should come and wash your feet,
What would you give to hear Him speak: what do you seek?

Is it light, is it shade, is it a touch of His Grace,
When you look to the sky can you see past time can you see Gods eyes,
When you look to the sky can you see God cry when his son had to die?

Life passes by so very fast, the good times never seem to last,
If you should see the makers face, time stops when Jesus starts to say:

I’m the light in the dark, I’m the Lord of you heart, I’m the end of time and I’m times very start,
I’m the One who remains when the world falls apart: I am what you seek.
I’m the one who saves; I’m the one who paved, the way the one who gave his life away,
I did all this just to hear you say: You are what I seek,
