What Does One Need

Oh Lord dear God how can it be?
Why should the world dismay?
How can Your children fail to see
What You Yourself display?

What Christ upon the cross revealed
His death made crystal clear
Why do the facts remain concealed?
As though You’ve loved in vain

Though hearts are pent on doing good
And souls caress The Light
Why don’t we live the way we should?
And take from darkness flight

For though The Bible’s here to read
Although Your Word is true
Although Your Promise is decreed
What clouds The Truth from view?

Has Satan such authority?
Are worldly ways so wrong?
Can lies deny man victory?
Are sin and shame so strong?

What does one need my God to win?
How does one take to stand?
How do we chain and bind our sin
And thus control our land

How does one stop the devil Lord?
Direct The Wind on high
Receive the strength to wield the sword
And silence every lie

You say true love’s The only Way
Through Christ Your Lamb and Son
Lord touch more eyes to see this day
That victory may be won
