When I was quite young
I thought that it would be fun
To be a little older.
Now that I am old,
I feel it must be told
That its better to be young.

Enjoy the fullness of your prime
For now it is the time.
Go forth and gain the skills
To make your life worthwhile.

Then pause, be still,
And lean against a stile.
Survey the world around you.
There is much yet to be done.
Be one of those whose efforts
Helps to make our lives great fun.
