What Happened By Itself Poem by Syed Mizbahuddeen

What Happened By Itself

Rating: 5.0

At the rain falling from the sky I looked,
Why does it rain, asked my questioning mind,
Who planned the water cycle and then took,
The water to life of every kind

I asked them this and then they said,
It happened by itself

So I looked past it, further beyond,
Who made the planets go on their paths and why,
Afraid was I but who created this?
I wanted to know and at last I

Asked them this and then they said
It happened by itself

One day to the gathering I was late,
They asked me the reason as I said,
I’m sorry for the mess I made,
But in the forest I had lost my way,
Then I saw a tree uproot and cut itself,
As it took me here on its bark, (flying)
As everyone there laughed out their hearts,
As I stood there by myself

This is how it’s been so far,
It happened the way the rain and planets did,
It took me here as it tore apart,
And it happened by itself.
