What Has He Done? Poem by Nicole Verrill

What Has He Done?

On those two wooden planks
that formed a cross,
Jesus died;
not all was lost.
He died for me,
He died for you.
Let's not forget,
He saved us,
too.
Gave us
eternal life,
while his followers
cried into the night.
When he said
that it is done,
the Holy One died;
God's only son.
He tore the veil,
he made a way.
They took him down,
that very same day.
He got put in a tomb,
with the stone rolled across.
What the people didn't know;
not all was lost.
He rose again,
in just three days.
His gift to us:
Amazing Grace.
He went up to heaven,
to be with is dad.
What has he done?
Gave us the life we now have.
