What Have I Done? Poem by John Watt

What Have I Done?

First there was one,
My wife, who with all my heart I love dearly,
Along the way two more came,
Daughters one and two,
Who are an incredible joy and every day bring something new,

Having all these females in my life is fine,
99.9% of the time,
(or have I misplaced the decimal?)

Then there was talk of number four,
I should have shut the door,
But I relented,
And this decision I have not repented,
For the bunny is a fine addition.

But number five is too much to bear
the difference between day and night,
'Do what I tell you, turn left no turn right',
'Recalculating, recalculating'
'You silly male,
Why don't you follow my trail'.

It is supposed to be a wonderful but I do confess,
Oh how I hate this new technology GPS.
