What I Want! Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

What I Want!

</>I have become like a little child,
Impatiently waiting for you.
I want what I want and I want it right now,
And I want you to want it bad too!

I want you beside me,
You make my heart glad.
When we’re not together,
I’m dreary and sad.

I want you to share
All my happy times too.
And I’ll share all your sad ones,
When you’re feeling blue.

I want you to share your
Dark secrets with me.
I’ll guard them with my life
To the depths of the sea.

I want you to love me
Till life comes to an end.
And when we arrive there,
Start all over again.

I want what I want
Like a chimp in a zoo.
And what I want most
Will always be you!
