What If Poem by Reshad Scott

What If

I live everyday regretting things I've done in the past,
Too many mistakes
Too many bad decisions
I hope for change
I hope for a new beginning
What if I died.

I wish I had someone to talk to
I wish for a better future
Someday I would meet a nice person
A person who really cares about me
A person who I could listen to, but
What if I stopped listening.

Till this day, my life shrinks away
My voice begins to fade, and
My fears turn away
I believed in a happy ending, but
What if I stopped believing.

What if I died
What if I stopped listening
What if I stopped believing
What If
