what if....

What if the painter lost his brush
What if the singer lost his voice
What if the poet lost his words
What if the parents lost their children

Would the beauty be lost
If not preserved by a canvas
Or sung for the world
Or written with passion

Would we find a way
To go through the day
If the ones we loved
We're suddenly gone.

For to realise that each
Seperate person is unique
Is to lose some one we love
And cherish what they've done

God painted the world
With simple words
His song rings in the birds
His Son died for us

To think that one man
Can love us so
And ask us in return
For only one thing

To paint our lives
With passion and gentle strokes
That each precious detail
May reveal a masterpiece

To sing with nature
A song from the heart
Filled with love and compassion
A song to be sung for years

To fill each void
With words that may heal
The deepest of wounds
Filling us with truth

To love what we've lost
No matter the pain
To never let go
To hold on to memories

For each masterpiece
Each song and poem
Each child, begins somewhere
And touches our lives

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

I speak not, I trace not, I breathe not thy name;
There is grief in the sound, there is guilt in the fame;
But the tear that now burns on my cheek may impart
