I gradually hope, (Then keep on hoping)
I feel tight, (Not tight enough to break apart)
What if I fall?
What if I can only crawl?
What if I’m mocked?
Wait…
What if you stand?
What you make it?
What if you see beyond what others see?
What if you rise?
What If….
What if….
It’s too far,
It’s too painful,
What if you close your eyes?
You’ll see how darkness can seize.
What if you open your eyes?
Lights take place for you.
What if I fail?
Oh, what if you succeed?
I can’t make it,
Oh, yes you can.
No, I can’t.
Yes, you can!
What if I break down?
What If there’s hope?
I can’t, I can’t…
What if you believe?

I have found that What if? is the most insidious question one can ask one's self. The answers are always hypothetical. Yet we do this all the time. Nice poem, Dunamis
Taking decisions when at a cross road is always difficult.. And age does not matter. From childhood to old age, we all stand at one point or the other on a shaky rock. I've stood there too. It happened a few weeks back and that's why.. your poem is so apt. so meaningful.. liked it
struggling with hope and fear.. you have very well portrayed it dear poetess. t hank you very much
