What If Jesus Had Not Died Poem by Franklin Spriggs

What If Jesus Had Not Died

Rating: 4.5

What if Jesus had not of died,
Please tell me, where would you be,
No possible chance of salvation,
On lifes old stormy sea.

No knowledge of legends of old,
How there lives paved our way,
No stories from a bible,
No hope from day to day.

What plan of redemption,
No happiness to be found,
No Ten Commandments to cherish,
No amazing grace how sweet the sound.

Only misery and heartaches,
From the cradle to the grave,
Still bound by the chain of sin,
Going through life as captive slaves.

But thanks be to Jesus,
On that resurrection day,
Brought forth a light into the world,
To show us all the way.

To guide us over the storms of life,
He sets the captives free,
Puts his Commandments in our hearts,
Because he loves you and me.

So I'll thank you Lord Jesus,
You mean so much to me,
I thank you for that glorious day,
And the Cross of Calvary.
