What Is Love? Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

What Is Love?

Then moved past the stage of getting
butterflies and no longer does my heart throb
Feel much secure and content in my life
Love is not just about a physical attraction
It's about staying together through the tough times
and helping each other with tears, with fears
As well as laughter and smiles
There should never be a need in changing the other
Just love them as they come, for who they are
Remembering that you're not just lovers
You're also wonderful friends
Who should be honest and the trust between you
should be strong
Each day that passes by you learn more
about the other
And learn to appreciate them for each time
you've spent with them
Love is not just feeling something for each other,
it's a union that brings us much closer to one another.
It's understood to be something the very heart highly desires which may weaken the brain, causing those involved to daydream, to glow with meaning, because... there is a reason, it gives us life making us feel complete even. Without it we have no worth, unlocking doors and openning windows you'd never thought possibly existed. truth is, love makes us feel together. True love sneaks up on you without making a sound and before you know it you've found the very thing in which you were looking for.
