What Is Real

The world has changed
I have lost
Yet I have found
That my empty heart
Bared far too much
The scar is visual
The healing,
Far away
Blindness see's no wrong
See's no pain
See's no other's loss
See's what he will gain
Excruciating pain
Will it heal
Will they understand
What is real
Will they just see
Just with their eyes
Not reality
Just dollar signs
I am here
Seeing wrong
I no longer

Reality can not discounted...its part of existence! It is our ability to cope with it that counts! (Report) Reply

Reality is a relative thing. Some part of your brain, an anatomy, decides what real is. But what shall decide whether that anatomy, that part of brain is real or not. (Report) Reply

Many see this material world as reality, whilst others believe that reality lies within the soul. A thought-provoking write Lyn, lovely. (Report) Reply

A good thing to think......sometimes i just hope that all life i have now is actually just a dream and i waiting myself to be awaken by someone saying i am sleeping...because the reality i saw just when i see some faces their faces become more than a single on face others running in their hidden innerside...what is real also is for myself...which road i am driving myself? ? _Soul (Report) Reply

What is real is a question. It is difficult to answer this.. World is often changing and it sees no pain, all it sees is what one gains even on others pain. Nothing can be done. It just leave one with scars who is unable to cope up with and it takes long time to heal. It just make one heartless after seeing all these! Beautiful write once again from your ink Lyn. I loved reading it. (Report) Reply

What is real, when life throws us so much pain that people are too blind to see, as we struggle in a world that keeps moving forward, where do we belong?
A beautifully written poem with great rhythm and flow! (Report) Reply

There is a wound carefully bandaged, but I fear, it occasionally bleeds, may be with a sudden jerk or jolt! ! Poignant write, Lyn! ! (Report) Reply

when you give someone your heart and they don't fully give you theirs In return...
I believe this could be what happens...but if you love yourself and know what love is...
then eventually everything will work out for the best and real true love will come to you
and never ever least this is my point of view....for you my friend, I wish your
dreams come true....very nice poem on what is real (Report) Reply

I feel it's a poet's disillusionment with the way the world is heading for pursuing vain things. Maybe you've something else in mind, Lyn. (Report) Reply
