What It'D Be Like Poem by wild fire

What It'D Be Like

you sit behind me in math,
across the room in government
assigned seats aren't the best
but you, you are amazing

You're a beautiful listener
and i enjoy our walk together
from second period to third
and after to the main building

you hold eye contact beautifully
but you also hold my heart in your hand
and you dont even know how i feel
but sometimes....

I think of what it'd be like
if I slipped on the snow
and brought you down with me
would you laugh?

I think of what it'd be like
if i slipped my hand into yours
or linked an arm with you
would you even care?

Sometimes I think of what it'd be like
if we were snowed in at school together
with the electricity out and cold weather
would you stay with me?

Sometimes I wonder if you miss me
or if you would when I go away
there's something about you
and i'm drawn like a moth to a flame

Your cool attitude
the way you walk, talk, and act.
Maybe it's just that you listen
or that i miss you so.

So when I smile at you,
and seem to be lost in thought
I'm thinking of the possibilities
and if one day, you might care as well.

One day I hope you know
I hope you feel the same
If you dont I'll always think
of what it'd be like if you did.
