What Life Brings Poem by Jon M. Nelson

What Life Brings

I was brought back down to reality,
Because I couldn't fight the gravity.
Everything was always up in the air,
But nothing could keep me up there.

Ever since there was our creation,
Mankind has always faced temptation,
Always living with that internal guilt,
And wondering about the world I built.

Looking back at where I have been,
And seeing what I've done back then,
I realize that I have so far yet to go,
But where that is, I just don't know.

Trying to avoid the errors and trial,
Making my life more worthwhile,
I'll always face what life brings along,
For I know it should make me strong.
