What Matters Poem by Timothy muggaga

What Matters

At the beginning of it all, we felt happy for our own good, sad for our own sake...
so; presumptuous people don't recognize us for our own good, useful people take note of us, still for our own sake...

We cry to those who love us, for our own comfort, we smile to those who hate us for our own security
so our humble moments are only seen by our loved ones, and our bravery stunts known by those who don't even care

When we are frightened, we remember our security in God, when we are lost, we claim it onto whom it may concern-our guardian angel
So, we seem not shaken but we too get beaten-at times even weep womanly, we always look bright but we have dark spots- corners that need healing

I LOVE YOU, PLEASE ALWAYS BE CLOSE WHEN MY SPIRIT IS SCATTERED...GATHER MY HUMAN WEAKNESSES THEN, AND ILL KNOW I BELONG.
NOT TO THE PRINCELY LINEAGE, BUT STILL I BELONG; NOT TO THE SAINTLY CLAN BUT I BELONG SOMEWHERE....WHERE GOD KNOWS CAN FIND ME!
