What Memories, Lazarus? Poem by elysabeth faslund

What Memories, Lazarus?

Rating: 5.0

From the Light
To the fire...
From the fire
To the Light...
What did you
Bring back to
Share
With loved ones,
Lazarus...

What memories,
And what bonds
Did you break
To re-enter
Life...
What memories
Did you never,
Ever speak
About...
Can you tell us?
Should you
Tell us?

i read a poem similar to this once, about Lazarus, his BO, and all the problems his family envisioned after having refurnished his room. This one asks a lot of interesting questions, and you know how i love questions, don't you?

But, what if he could talk? Would you be frightened of his sojouns in the land of the dead? Curious about that!
