What Needed to Be Said

I will swallow my pride
Not for the last time
And speak what needs to be said

I will tell you the truth
Not another moment of lies
I'm practicing these words in my head

I missed you before
But I need you now
I'm sorry for the way that I've fled

Now you're all that I want
You're on my mind
But it's still this moment I dread

I'll tell you the truth
Straight to your face
It's your reponse I await
This can't wait another day
You're a part of my fate
And even if we are just friends
I spoke what needed to be said
