What We Do Poem by Aderogba Adewusi

What We Do

What we do on a daily basis is like a seed
A farmer goes to farm on a daily basis
He clears the bush, plows the Land and drops the seed
No farmer drops his seed without a great expectation
He expects to reap bountifully from each seed sown

The seed also expects so much from the soil
It sucks water, nutrient and food from its abode
Only for it to rupture and rot
Now no stopping the plumule and radicle
One goes up and one goes down to make a solid plant

Many plants form a plantation, Many trees form a forest
No man can stand on his own, except a fool
If you dont need me, then I'll need you
That is the only way the world can go on
Rub my shoulder, I'll rub your back

The story of the seed is give and take
You cannot take more than you can give
for their is always a proportion of harvest
My 10 acres will yield more than your 5 acres
Provided they access the same nutrients, light and water

My story cannot end here, it continues in the mind
Preach it to the jew, preach it to the gentile
Whatever you sow, the same shall you reap
Start sowing best seed to get the best harvest
Tis not easy to harvest best, so dont think you're faraway
