Isaac Maliya

(4th December / The People's Country! Where People Laugh From Their Hearts!)

What Wrong Have I Done?

Lines of venom on your brow
Is there a never-ending row?
What wrong have I done?

Your eyes laden with rage
Terror confines me in a cage
What wrong have I done?

Your silent attacks in frenzy
But I take you as a heartily friend
What wrong have I done?

The question for a book
Always, I get is a but
I am blameless, faultless
What wrong have I done?

Dedication: To Ayrton Jorge Braimo, caught between two worlds!

Poem of the Day

poet Algernon Charles Swinburne

I hid my heart in a nest of roses,
Out of the sun's way, hidden apart;
In a softer bed than the soft white snow's is,
Under the roses I hid my heart.
