What You Said You Will Never Be Poem by Ashmita Saha

What You Said You Will Never Be

Rating: 4.5

Amidst the rush, in the crowd
Have you ever felt like this,
Like you are all alone.
You have so many friends,
Friends, or so they say.
But well, there's always one
Among them, the closest, the best
The best friend, you call her.
You tell her, she tells you
Everything
Everything that you want to say
Everything that you want to think
Without fear, no hesitation.
You laugh together, you cry together,
You wish this never changed.
She is like your long lost sister
'Cuz deep down, you trust, you believe
That even when your friends,
or so they say,
Won't look back at you
When you will need them the most,
She will, your best friend.
But do you know something?
This world is a big fat lie.
And nothing lasts forever.
People change, times goes on...
They become what they once said they will never be
Now I look back, at the happy times
When we laughed together, when we cried together
And still, I wish, the same.
You might have moved on,
But here I am, all amazed to see
That you have become
What you said you will never be...
