What You See Poem by David Harris

What You See

Rating: 5.0

Each day we walk life’s road
with its twists and turns
never knowing what the next corner brings.
For some it is great happiness
for others it is great pain
regardless we walk it just the same.
Our destiny is in the hands of someone
who directs us on our way.
We are taught that knowing great sorrow
we can embrace joy more tightly
whenever it comes our way.
It is the same with heartbreak
and love when it comes.
Each day is an adventure
we individually share
from the dawning sunshine
and dark clouds filled with rain.
The romance in the moonlight
and the disappointments in love’s crazy game.
We are who we are
and no one can ever change that.
If we are kind
that is the way we are meant to be.
Therefore, if you take me as a friend
what you see is what you get
until the very end.

I love the following lines: 'Each day is an adventure we individually share from the dawning sunshine and dark clouds filled with rain. The romance in the moonlight'
