Colin Ian Jeffery (20th May 1942 / Caterham)
WHEN
When all about you
Fall and stumble
Then be the one
Standing fast and tall
Making your parents proud.
When love is lost
And heartache overwhelms
Still love for love's own sake
Be not the one to grieve
For what could have been.
When lies are told
Be the truth and bold
And take the blows
Never speaking ill of anyone
Nor hear evil spoken to embitter.
When your life is done
Then have no regret or sorrow
For the choices you made
But walk tall with pride
Never forgetting those you loved.
