When Hopes And Dreams Lose Their Charms Poem by Yasmin Khan

When Hopes And Dreams Lose Their Charms

Rating: 4.8

When hopes and dreams lose their charms
The heart seeks repose in Nature’s arms

Some wild sensation, some tender grief
Flowerless gardens in autumnal leaves

Soft blows the wind that gently air
The hidden gloom in amber flare

Lonely musings moments set in twilight
Touch of rosy sunset dispels Fate’s blight

Moonlight’s glimmer wraps all worries and woes
As descends the dusk, night tide solemn and solemner grows

Be the bliss of quiescent tranquil hours
Gloom recedes, towards heaven the soul soars

A beautiful poem that opens with two extremely beautiful lines. 'Moonlight’s glimmer wraps all worries and woes As descends the dusk, night tide solemn and solemner grows' These lines evoke solemn feelings in our minds.

Spending time in pine forests and along lakes and shores - actually anywhere in nature - hope shines through and somehow rescues us from gloom and sadness. Very astute poem, I like it. Thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn

Moonlight’s glimmer wraps all worries and woes Nature comes to rescue when hope is lost to let gloom recede. Beautiful images presented in the poem. Thank you.
