When I am blind

I walk from light to dark...
With no love inside me to spark...

I exist but not live, as all I do is move and obey
I'm the lost ship in the ocean, with no home or bay

Drown in hatred, with blind eyes seeing darkness only
Hated, deserted, and rejected as I am lonely

Once loved and known, but now I'm nothing but a mere puppet
Left alone invisible to everyone, with heart more solid than a nugget

Smiled once, laughed twice, in the end it didn't turn nice
It all turned to sadness, and then I had to pay the price

I live in fantasy, as I escape from realities
Because in this world, all I have is lack of abilities

I'm dead, lost, rotten, and corrupt
All I want is to be alone, with no one to interrupt

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born
