When I Lost You Mother

When I lost you Mother
I never felt so much pain
My sorrow as deep as the ocean
My tear drops fell like the rain

I hurt so deep I was bleeding
In my heart, my soul and my mind
I am lost. Im afraid. I am lonely
I will never feel your hand in mine.

When I lost you, Mother
It was the sadest day of my life
Nothing will ever hurt me as much
As telling you Mother, goodbye

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
