When I'M Alone Poem by Neela Nath Das

When I'M Alone

Rating: 5.0

Caught in the traffic jam
of billion words, confused
I behave like the madman
picking the useless rubbish
from the dustbins, from the
crowded roads as if I'm
engaged in an assignment
very important and has
to be done within the
compass of dead line!
He who anyhow managed to
pass in his each and
every exam and bagged
a job by putting oil,
throws the dusty words,
as a competitor and also the
guy who indulges in lies
sings the same discordant
song along with the other
wolves(though I find no
moon @ that time.Because
I know the moon rises
@ night) ......
confused I forgetting
my values, my ability,
the difference sometimes
try to rectify their
misconception about me.
But, I can't bury the hatchet!
In the evening, when
with the birds I return
to my nest, their faces fade
out and peace govern my
lovely home and as a
drunkard I promise not
to talk to them any more.
As they are not my
cup of tea, interacting
with them means
burning my innocent part.
but, I forget my promise,
they show their fangs,
they wash their dirt
in a specific manner,
I protest against
their theft, dishonesty
and they......
When I'm alone,
in the evening,
I swim in peace,
the madman takes rest
in darkness submitting
his rubbishes to night!

Being alone has its benefits. When we are alone it gives us time to sort out our feelings and start afresh. The clutters of life gets the best of us some times. Sooner or later we have to dig ourselves and then we may then see daylight. nice write Hari.
