When I'M Old Poem by Rose Marie Cook

When I'M Old

It's your arms I long for
Your sweet embrace
The kiss I'd die for
Just to see your face

Oh what I'd do
Just to have another day
To hold you in my arms
And speak all the words I want to say

Just before you walk away
Before you can say good bye
Let me hold you
And say I love you

Let me remember that sweet kiss
All the memories that we shared
The good times and bad
When you were still there

Let me kiss you forever
Never letting go
Please don't leave so soon
My love is all I show

Close your eyes lying beside me
Remember this moment
In my bed all night
Hands together hearts beating

Remember this moment
Me looking back at you
As God takes me away
I hope my love can get you through
