When I Stand Poem by norman hale

When I Stand

Rating: 5.0

When I stand on a mountain
I stand and see the views
And when I think of friends
I feel blessed to have you

When I stand in the bottoms
And I watch the water in the stream
With each bubble in that water
Is someones faded dreams

When I stand in a meadow
And watch the wind blow the weeds
I think of those that have passed on
And it aches my heart as it bleeds

When I stand by a highway
And the cars are speeding fast
They symbolize so many lives
That have faded away too fast

When I stand by your side
With your hand clinching mine
It's like being in Heaven
And your eyes are the stars that shine

When I stand by a grave yard
And count those lives that are gone
I try to think of all those poor souls
And wander how many Heaven actually won

When I stand a lone too long
And I start feeling so a lone
I know Jesus's true love
Will absolutely lead me home
