When Light Breaks The Darkness Poem by Cory Huennekens

When Light Breaks The Darkness

Rating: 4.0

Where is it that darkness and light exist in the same place?
The night wore on, dawn speedily drawing near
Yet when the sun approaches there is no darkness
Because there is light-
The light has not raised her voice aye she merely whispers
And where is the line between love and hate
Or North and South or up and down or left and right
And if a man goes East, when does he really arrive at West?
If one does not know when one shall die,
Are we not perpetually at the end?
The end, the beginning
The waking from a long sleep, a terrible nightmare
The violence stops as love breaks the horizon
Hate is done and what soul can imagine that
Volare, volare, volare...

Very deep and well thought of. Who knows what is there in this life and place. If is this enigma that makes it worth living. Well done. Mohabeer Beeharry. May I invite you to read my new poems. Thank you.
