When Love Is Uninvited Poem by Joyce Hemsley

When Love Is Uninvited

Love means wedding bells in spring
when never unrequited...
love is such a gentle thing
like nightingales upon the wing
if into his arms you are invited.

Passionate words sweet divas sing
and heartstrings are delighted...
love songs echo on the breeze
rhapsodies and symphonies
two butterflies united.

Sunny skies come shining down
if petals are not blighted...
but thunder storms enrage the seas
when love is uninvited,
when love is unrequited.
