When My Will Fails Poem by Didier Sixte Kahungu

When My Will Fails

Rating: 5.0

When I fail to will
The clock fails not to tick
When I fail to will
Outcome goes not astray
When I will to be
I determine not my breath
If this be so
Whose hand owns destiny?

What is Will if my days were numbered?

What will was

Why will if the end be known?

Is Will mine?
That shapes my way
Does Freedom justify its stay in Will?
Is Will mine or His?
Is Will sufficient when choice is dead?

If my way be known before sunrise
And my choices be established to be fatal before the eye sees
Why does Love not divert my course?

Who be superior between Will and intention?
I know action be most concrete of the two!
But which of the two best justifies it?

When my will fails
Did it matter to will?
I never created choice
I never created desire
I am no author of Left or Right

Who wills?
