When Paths Don'T Cross Poem by Jackie Crow

When Paths Don'T Cross

Never seeing you,
Never hearing your laugh,
Makes the rare occasion,
Of you so special.

When our paths don't cross,
Not one little bit,
I miss you,
More than you'll ever know.

Not sure if you notice,
When I meet your eyes,
From across the room,
How lit mine are.

I think about you,
All the time,
Your smile, your laugh,
Break my heart.

When did I fall,
So hard,
Head over heels,
For nothing but asphalt?

I can't stand seeing you,
I hate you,
Your smile your laugh,
Make it unbearable.

I cannot take your eyes,
Looking into mine,
Because I'm afraid,
You'll see beyond the blue sheild.

And yet I care,
For you,
The one I hate,
And love so much
