When The Church Has Gone

What’s to do when the church has gone?
When the cloud’s seen on high
When trumpets sounds, when Christ God’s Son
Leaves you here to die

What will you do when the beast appears?
When deceit dons a crown
When man’s plagued with tears and fears
When no-where’s left, but down

The time of Salvation is now!
With Jesus on the way
To Heaven’s will, all need to bow
Before the judgement day

No living soul, is without sin
However much we try
Hopeless is man, life’s crown to win
Without The Christ on high

Without He who created them
Life’s Branch, king David’s Root
Till grafted firm, in true life’s stem
Bearing The Father fruit

“Too late, too late” will be the cry
When found without The Lord
Converts then may but rise on high
With heads chopped, by the sword

This may sound harsh, a most absurd
Story or fairy tale
But well be warned, these truths you’ve heard
Will neither fall nor fail

Best join the bride of Jesus Christ
Receive Him as your King
Believe that He was sacrificed
That man life’s song may sing…..
