When The Morning Comes Poem by Pretty Brown Eyes

When The Morning Comes

As we lay here I'm wondering exactly where tomorrow will lead. And I'm wondering will you remember tonight. After the sun rises will you remember that it was you who said I love you first. Will you remember that it was you who reached for me and held me close. When the morning comes will I still be the only one.

I can't help but think I've fallen in love with a lie please tell me this is not a dream and that I'm not alone when I say that I give you me completly. And when the stars begin to fade will you still be mine will you still love me like you said. When the sky begins to lighten will you still be laying here beside me. And even the days after that will you belong to only me.

I'm staring at you as you sleep and you're so beautiful and I'm prayng upon prayers that you'll stay here with me and that when the first light of dawn begins to come through my window that you won't fade away like the night sky.

A doughtful futuristic belonging is shown through self-questioning by fear of its loss.
