When The Stars Go Blue Poem by Cathleen Hodgkinson

When The Stars Go Blue

Dancin' where the stars go blue
Dancin' where the evening fell
Dancin' in your wooden shoes
In a wedding gown

Dancin' out on 7th Street
Dancin' through the underground
Dancin' little marionette
Are you happy now

Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you

Laughing with your pretty mouth
Laughing with your broken eyes
Laughing with you lover's tongue
In a lullaby

Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue
the stars go blue, the stars go blue

(2001 Lyrics by Ryan Adams. Recorded by Corrs/U2's Bono & recently Tim McGraw)

This is a dancy poem, to be sure. No telling what might be brought into such a dance- colors, objects emotions. Seeing your poem prompted me to dig up my old poem in which a light source turns blue. It's titled DOPPLERESQUE, and I just posted it.

star when blue rain may not come rainbow often comes with colours quatum moon seems to be painted by the art of love the speckles of colour yet flints upon the onlooker even when alone reasoed true by the whispers of evening...............yet lovely poem bespoken of love when luscious too, well penned,10/10, thanks for sharing

I love the version of this song when Tim McGraw sings it, it would have to be one of my favourites.... Hugs Cyber Daughter - Kayla
