When The Weather Is Wicked Poem by robert cooper

When The Weather Is Wicked

When the weather is wicked and the wind is wild
and the rain is pounding outside of your door
If I came calling like a lost child
would you offer me shelter and a bed on your floor

When the thunder is rolling along with the lightning
and the trees are shaking their leaves in the night
If I whispered to you that I found it frightnin
would you kiss my forehead and hold my hand tight

when the moon is a-hiding behind black clouds
and its gotten as quiet as its going to be
would you come love crawl under my blanket
ah honey would you come and make love with me?
