When The World Betray Me Poem by MTHOKOZISI NTOKOZO MAPHUMULO

When The World Betray Me

When the world betray me
I keep silent and I cry
I listen to what they say
They all agree in one plot
Kill him, shout him, and ignore him
What have I done to you my world?
Yesterday I saw you hungry and perish
You had no ears, no brain and no wings to fly.
I do not say it is bad to have wings, eyes and sharp brains
But all I need is a space, nor love or wisdom
The problem with you my world is that you hate me
You sit on top of my head
You squash me like a soil getting ran by heavy traffic wheels
Oh my world
Why do you want to see me dead?
For I loved you so much that sacrificed the last soul I should breath
Now that you walk tall: you turn back when I come to you
I have never been shy about you: but now you are shy about me
Well I forgive you for that my world for I have never wish to be loved
I only like person who loves God
But what about challenging my life
When you need just food I gave you mana, for high social status indeed.
I did not desire to kill you for your poverty.
But today you have collaborated with my enemies to kill me
You have become the barrier of my success.
I have been looking over you as if I am not aware of your evil actions you are doing to me
