When Tomorrow Fades Away Poem by Charles Ayitey

When Tomorrow Fades Away

The days pass, years wane
All that beckons is the pain of yesterday
None but my fears will want to fade
As I stare the scare of tomorrow's day

No one understands my cry
The world makes me think it's gay
But deep inside my heart's pain
I know tomorrow may never pass by
Death in time of sorrow
Sweetness of a lifetime
My actions stare me now
Tears, my heart's chime

Tomorrow remains unknown
If I die or I live
Eternity races destiny
But the present will never give

I try to smile
You tell me it's alright
But tomorrow takes the mile
And my today, nothing but night
